Are there timings out there for areas of C code that are still slow
and CPU bound? Has anyone considered OpenMP for these?

Please be sure that it has pkcs11 engine support. The ssh enhancement
to take advantage of the Niagara 2 crypto units speeds up scp by 3x on
a T5220. This makes scp on a T5220 almost as fast as a 5 year old
Opteron. Having pkg on a new sparc system 3x as slow on as a 5 year
old Opteron is quite unacceptable.
