Alta: Are you booting with console=graphics or console=text (in other words, are you seeing the progressbar at start up) ?
It sounds to me a consequence of: 6932552 early calls to cv_reltimedwait() are even less safe post 6919691 (http://bugs.opensolaris.org/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6932552) On 04/22/10 17:22, Alta Elstad wrote:
I have been advised that I am probably hitting this: http://bugs.opensolaris.org/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6914346 I have tried a couple of times to perform this fix but still am unable to boot into the new BE. Perhaps I am doing it incorrectly. I am still at 111b, having no luck updating since I first started trying at about b127 or so. This is on a Toshiba Tecra. I made sure my preferred publisher is named opensolaris.org and set to dev. I even deleted other publishers. I tried image-update again yesterday, which should be b134. Same problem: When I try to boot into it, it starts to load, then dies and restarts and I am back at the GRUB menu. Referring to the above bug report, I did this: # beadm mount opensolaris-134 /mnt # cd /mnt/platform/i86pc # rm -rf archive_cache # bootadm update-archive -F -R /mnt updating /mnt//platform/i86pc/boot_archive updating /mnt//platform/i86pc/amd64/boot-archive # beadm unmount -f opensolaris-134 # reboot Same panic-restart when I select opensolaris-134. Did I do something wrong? Perhaps I have a different problem, since this bug report says this problem is fixed in b133. I am very grateful for any help, _______________________________________________ pkg-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-discuss
