Yeah, it's what I already have to do for validate_pkg checks in X too,
since a couple of it's complaints are things that shouldn't be fixed
(binaries in the proto area not being setuid to match the manifests,
hard links to isaexec even though isaexec is not in any of our packages).
I can add these to the list our error reporting script ignores.
