It seems vba-m is the way forward. Not sure if someone filed a "needs packaging" bug or not. http://sourceforge.net/projects/vbam/
-- Visualboy Advance Speed Over 100% (Too fast) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/622103 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Debian/Ubuntu Games Team, which is subscribed to visualboyadvance in ubuntu. Status in “visualboyadvance” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Binary package hint: visualboyadvance Ubuntu 10.04 - 64-bit. I have not tested on 32-bit. Using the VisualboyAdvance package 1.8.0-5. When playing a Gameboy ROM on VBA, the speed is far above 100%, and stays up at around 200-300%. If I throttle it to 100%, the sound and gameplay stutter and are jerky. I get poor performance on Gameboy Advance Roms. What I expected: Games to stay around 100%, with smooth frame-rate, as my system should be sufficiently powerful. (Intel 2.2ghz Dual Core, 3gb RAM) What happens instead: Roms are either too fast, and have stuttered playback, or perform poorly.
