you did a nice analysis of the bug. I *think* that the Debian KDE Extras
Team is quite short on time and will possibly not be able to react to your
bug report. Please do report the bug with your analysis upstream at
http://bugs.kde.org.
Please mention the Debian bug report there. And if and once you've
reported it upstream you can link the Debian bug report to it, so the
Debian bug report will track upstream and maintainers will get notified
when the bug gets fixed upstream.
