./configure --help giving just this:
PKG_CONFIG_LIBDIR
              path overriding pkg-config's built-in search path
  bz2_CFLAGS  C compiler flags for bz2, overriding pkg-config
  bz2_LIBS    linker flags for bz2, overriding pkg-config
