Dear Maintainer,

If you backup the systemd-machined default directory ("/var/lib/machines") with 
borgbackup,
 is one way to segfault systemd-machined.
Systemd State is now: degraded.

Backup the folder without crash, of course.

I test this little patch and it no longer crash:

It apply to current stable release without Problems.
i test with "dpkg-source --commit" and "debuild -us -uc"
