Package: initscripts
Version: 2.85-20
Severity: normal
I have these 2 lines in my /etc/fstab:
waxy:/home /home nfs
auto,rw,intr,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,nfsvers=3,tcp 0 0
/home/system/apt/archives /var/cache/apt/archives none auto,bind
0 0
The initscripts either skip the second line, or try to mount it to
early: before /home is mounted.
The manpage fstab(5) says 'The order of records in fstab is
important....', so I expect the initscripts to obey the specified order.
Alex.

This bug is being closed as part of a cleanup of the old bug
reports in the sysvinit package, in an attempt to make it easier
to address the bug reports which actually are fixable. Some
reasons:
- Not a bug and/or it's a patch which will not be applied
- It will not be fixed, ever for various reasons
- Problem is not fixable in sysvinit or not our responsibility
- A better solution has become available in the interim
- No activity or submitter response in over a decade or more
