Also fixed is a related problem (caused by the same bug, AFAICS, since switching off compositing it also "fixes" it) which manifested itself when I plugged in an external monitor to a laptop and tried to enable it with xrandr: what I got was an area corresponding in size and location to that initially displayed on the internal panel and blackness around it. -- | Darren Salt | linux or ds at | nr.
