I just tried to remove gvfs and gvfs-bin, and install udisks-glue. It
does seem to work somehow but:

- it requires udisk1 (we've switched to udisks2, afaict)
- it needs to be run manually
- disks don't appear in xfdesktop4, only Thunar (but maybe I'd need to
restart xfdesktop)

Also, udisks-glue doesn't seem to handle stuff like network filesystems
etc. And while some people might actually find that a feature, they can
install it manually.
