What about other host devices? 9vx doesn't provide /dev/audio whereas
drawterm does. Inferno doesn't either, at least not in a default Linux
build. I don't mean to suggest adding to the workload, I'm just
thinking if X11 code is taken from drawterm maybe it wouldn't be too
hard for drawterm's other services to come along for the ride. I
wouldn't really know, of course.
