I have always thought that it could be convenient to have plan 9 devices as
independent unix programs. This project aims to do that with a wsys device
(draw, keyboard, mouse). There's no reason the same couldn't be done with
drawterm's audio or 9vx's network device, for example.

We still have to solve the problem of  serving 9p. I'm not sure yet of the
convenience of using p9p's 9pserve over the drawterm approach, but i hope to
have an answer sooner or later. We can start thinking about other devices
then.
