Hi Professor: I had a similar problem happen to me this morning! No tasks were carried forward. However, none of the project pages were updated. So the only new / updated file for me is 2006.11.17.muse.
This is strange because, 1. I have not changed any planner or Emacs code. 2. You had something very similar happen at about the same time. Could we have something in our diaries that causes the planner code to abort? I usually like to blame weird things like this on the phases of the moon. In fact I do have &%%(diary-phases-of-moon) in my .diary file. But upon removing that statement, deleting 2006.11.17.muse, and restarting both Emacs and Planner, I'm still stuck with no tasks. Hmm, no tasks... this isn't necessarily a bad thing is it? ;) Okay, seriously. For me, merely setting planner-carry-tasks-forward to 2 fixed my problem. I didn't run Plan yesterday. But I've had (setq planner-carry-tasks-forward t) in my .emacs since July 31 and have not run Plan on consecutive days every week. Why suddenly it decided to work correctly is a mystery to me. Good luck to you. -- Raymond Zeitler <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -----Original Message----- Date: Wed, 15 Nov 2006 07:26:20 -0500 From: Kenneth Jacker <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: [Planner-el-discuss] Lost Entries on Daily Page I don't know just exactly what happened. But I did my regular "planner" run this morning and the only thing that showed up on "today's page" were items from .diary.cyclic-tasks! Zero "carried over" tasks showed up ... The previous "tasks" *are* still in each of my project pages (showing today's date), but those are not being displayed on my daily page. In desperation I increased planner-carry-tasks-forward to a huge value, but that didn't help. Anyone know how I can get back to my "regular" daily page with all those older task entries being displayed?
