I have the same error on ubuntu feisty and ati radeon 9100. Also my
colleagues have the same problem with feisty on ati Xpress 200 and Ati
radeon 9200 :

direct rendering is enabled and the error appears also if I execute gazebo
and not wxgazebo or if I replace GLXP with XLIB, SIGX GLX in world file. I
have installed the last packages (python 2.5, wxpython 2.8, ode 0.8.0,
freeglut3 2.4 ) but the same error appears.
