Thanks for the quick response, sorry I typed the last message kinda fast and
so there were mistakes in the path that I wrote.

I actually have boost installed in:
/home/timchan/boost_1_40_0

and ogre is installed in:
/home/timchan/ogreroot

In my .bashrc file I put:

export
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/timchan/ogreroot/lib:/home/timchan/boost_1_40_0/libs:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
export
CPATH=/home/timchan/ogreroot/include:/home/timchan/boost_1_40_0/boost:$CPATH

There was no include folder in boost, so I put the /boost folder in the
CPATH. But when I run cmake I still get the following errors the errors
below. Also, I have Boost 1.32.0 installed on the machine in root, but I
have boost 1.40 installed locally.

-- checking for module 'OGRE>=1.6.1'
--   package 'OGRE>=1.6.1' not found
CMake Error at cmake/SearchForStuff.cmake:22 (MESSAGE):
  Error: Ogre3d version >= and development files not found. See the
  following website: http://www.orge3d.org
Call Stack (most recent call first):

CMake Error at /usr/share/cmake/Modules/FindBoost.cmake:868 (message):
  Unable to find the requested Boost libraries.
  Boost version: 1.32.0

  Detected version of Boost is too old. Requested version was 1.35 (or
newer).
