In the gazebo tutorial, it shows that you need to start up gazebo, then player, then you test program. In this case its playerv. When I start up gazebo 0.9 on the pioneer2dx.world included in the source it comes up fine. I start player 3.0.1 against gazebo.cfg, also, no error. My problem comes with running playerv --laser:0. I get this output:
