Hi everyone,
I'm trying to get either Windows 2000 or Windows XP Beta 2 (which I just
got from Microsoft) to run under plex86. I'm assuming (perhaps unwisely) that
since Windows NT 4.0 works under plex86 (according to the plex86 site), that
I should be able to get it's successors to work. <vbg>
So that is where my questions come in:

1.) When I boot off of a MS-DOS boot disk with CD-ROM support,
Microsoft's generic CD-ROM driver (from the Windows 98 Setup Disk) doesn't
seem to be able to setup the CD-ROM drive. Any ideas how I might fix this?

2.) If and when the operating system queries to see what kind of hardware
is "under the hood", does it report the real system's information, or the
emulated hardware's information? If it's the later, is there anyway to make
sure the emulated hardware "looks" like a 300+ MHz computer (so Windows XP
will install)?

3.) Is there anyway to make plex86 boot the OS off the CD-ROM drive, like
many modern computer's real BIOSes do?

4.) Is there anyway to make the c: drive in a plex86 setup be a real hard
drive partition? I have a Windows 2000 partition I'd like to boot -
preferably without copying it to an image since it's 9 gigs in size.

  Thanks,
       Tim
