On my SuSE 7.1 system with SuSE Linux kernel 2.4.2-4GB and the "old" plex86,
the user application also crashes the first time, because it can not allocate
memory for the VM. Maybe it is something in combination with the Linux 2.4.x
kernel. No problems with the kernel module though.
