It is conceivable. I'm not sure how the performance of kernel
code will be in the end. Special guest OS specific drivers for
disk and network card emulation will help boost performance
in that department.
I'm guessing plex86 will be useful for firewall analysis.
But for setting up a real live firewall, I'm thinking you'd
be better off having a separate machine between the outside
and inside world. That's the golden rule for firewalls.
Anways, plex86 isn't ready for this.
