Sorry for the ignorant user question, but I've searched everywhere for
any kind of documentation on installing an operating system in Plex86,
and I haven't found anything. So I figured I might as well be the first
to ask this question.
I've downloaded the Plex86 source via CVS and built the kernel module
and user application. (BTW, to build the kernel with the right version
information on Red Hat 7, you must install the kernel-source package and
configure Plex86 with './configure
--includedir=/usr/src/linux/include'.)
I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do now. I've looked as the
sample configuration files, but it's just not clicking. I assume that I
need to do something like the following:
- create a file to act as a virtual disk
- create a configuration file which uses that file as the C: drive
and provides access to the floppy and CD-ROM drives
- start Plex86, booting DOS from the floppy, and partition/format/
install the virtual C: drive
Can someone provide some pointers on how to actually perform these
steps?
Thanks!
