I'm using the linux configuration file in which I've changed two bits:

#bochs-opt floppya: 1_44=../../1.44a, status=inserted
bochs-opt floppya: 1_44=../../1.44a 

and
plugin = ./plugins/loader/load-kernel.so \
  file=/dev/hda1 \
  address=0x100000 \
  stack=36864 


A window opens briefly and closes before I can read it;-(
