if all you want is linux running under linux, you might want to check out 
http://user-mode-linux.sourceforge.net/ until plex86 becomes more usable. I just got 
to playing with it last night and it's pretty cool. If you have higher than 2.2.15 
kernal you don't even need to reboot or rebuild.
