Plex86 won't do the trick since it works using the existing IA32
architecture.  Which is the broken bit.  IIRC you have to use a
special mode switch to execute IA32 code and then switch back to
IA64, like protected mode on the 286.  That is going to hurt..

Bochs is a much better idea since it would run natively in IA64
mode.  This is one of the reasons I think Bochs should be supported
more thoroughly than it seems to be :-(
