Well.. the act of implementing this interface in plex86 probably is, though
you might want to to this in a country that allows reverse engineering (the
netherlands for example). The distribution of the guest os driver along with
plex86 probably isn't, but you can always point people to the download site.
The main advantage for this is that combined with a vmware-to-plex86 disk
format converter, this provides a clean upgrade path to plex86 for vmware
users.
I wouldn't recommend this for the final video architecture though, as you'd
be basing it on a technically non-open API.
