There is no good reason not to do precisely what dosemu does with SVGA. Someone should contact someone who worked on dosemu. Is anyone here familiar with dosemu? I've used it and it works very, very well. It can provide VGA-only access or if your real video card is one of the supported cards, it can use your real SVGA card. I'm pretty sure it even works in an X window in SVGA modes.
As for S3Trio64V+ developer/programmer guide, forget it. You might be able to get some information on chips and technology, however, since they're now owned by Intel and Intel provides good documentation usually. Does anyone know what the date is of a revision of plex86 that can run Linux or W95?? Here's something you guys might find interesting: http://www.erikyyy.de/tempest/, but it's way off-topic. :-) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tony Zelenoff" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Christian Peter" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, December 01, 2001 12:41 AM Subject: Re[4]: [plex86] Problem in compiling plex on red hat linux 7.0 [snip] > And what with videocard emulation ( i hear that somebody developed a > vesa stub ) ?
