After my cvs commit to
set(plplotwxwidgets_SOVERSION 0)
set(plplotwxwidgets_VERSION ${plplotwxwidgets_SOVERSION}.0.0)
the build of plplotwxwidgetsd went well on Debian stable (using the results
from a build of wxGTK-2.6.3.tar.gz). Also,
ldd -r plplotwxwidgetsd.so gave good results as well.
However, when I tried the same build on Debian Dapper (one earlier version
than Andrew's Debian Edgy) I got similar errors to Andrew's. Nevertheless,
the good Debian stable result shows you are close to having everything
working on all Linux platforms.
