If I can make it work, I would like to make one further change to plimagefr - I would like to add grid -> plot coordinate callback support in the same manner as supported by plshade(s), plmap and plmeridians. How soon does this have to be completed to prevent breaking an assumed fixed API on plimagefr? It could be added as a 3rd plimage* function, but I think that may be overkill. plimage should still work on top of this modified plimagefr with the transformation function fixed as pltr0 (I think that's the identity transformation function...). This functionality would be personally useful, as well as making plimagefr a more direct neighbor to the plshade functions. I will start with the plshade* functions to see how this is handled in those cases. Any suggestions on pitfalls to watch out for? Hez -- Hezekiah M.
