Hi Hez: I think most distros update their PLplot packages for each of our development releases (since despite their name, our development releases usually have more functionality than previous versions, and they also have fewer bugs in the functionality that is common with the previous versions). Thus, it would be a good idea for you finalize the plimagefr API before our next development release. It's hard to predict when that will be.
