Actually I first observed it on Ubuntu 8.04 (32bit) some weeks ago and 
just used Mac OS X for the plots, since the misalignment was also there. 
I'm quite perplex that it works for you - 64bit/32bit problem? I'll also 
redo the plots in my Linux.
