64-bit Ubuntu is very similar to my own 64-bit Debian tesing platform so why
do Hez and I get different results?

I attach a screenshot of the nicely aligned -dev xwin result you get on my
platform.  What I am trying to prove here is I am not crazy after all.  :-)
