Hi Alan, I think I found the cause of these problems:
it turns out that the subdirectory language_tests is referred to in the CMake files as language-tests - so a minus sign instead of an underscore! No idea why this is a problem under MinGW and not under Linux, but this is the reason the build system falls back on the CMake files.
