I also edited examples/tk/standard_examples to just run the 16th example, and the problem persisted (so it does not have anything to do with the colours being clobbered by the previous example). Could you write this up as a Tk colour bug in our bugtracker so we don't lose track of this issue? I think we have encountered other Tk colour bugs before (including possibly this one) but lost track of them. Thanks for the care you have exercised in running test_interactive.
