Alan,

Sorry for coming to this rather late - I've been tied up with other things. I 
entirely support you in pressing for a release. This would fix a number of 
outstanding issues with the Debian packages and bring us back upto date. 
September 28th seems a reasonable timeframe. I'm sorry I probably won't have 
time to act as release manager this time round, but I'll try to crack on with 
more testing and in particular resolve the outstanding issues with the D 
language and plcolorbar. This just leaves Ada and Ocaml in need of bringing 
back into line. If Jerry struggles to fit in fixing Ada I'll try and take a 
look 
at that too. I also want to give Alan's recent documentation changes a 
thorough test. We need the release notes bring up to date, so if everyone 
could contribute to that it would be good.
