I do not have time anymore to pursue this. OK. Thanks for trying these tests for this release. Given these test failures on your Windows platforms, I now plan to try comprehensive_tests.sh on my own MinGW/MSYS/Wine platform early next week to make sure I continue to have success on that Windows platform. By the way, Wine developers strive hard to make Wine indistinguishable from the Microsoft version of Windows. But it sometimes is missing certain Microsoft Windows capabilities (although that is considered to be a Wine bug by the Wine developers). The upshot is if some test fails on Wine, there is a good possibility that failure is due to some Wine incompleteness/bug, but when a test succeeds on Wine (like scripts/comprehensive_test.sh does for me with MinGW/MSYS/Wine) then it should also "just work" on MinGW/MSYS/Microsoft Windows. It is for this reason that I find your test failure on MinGW/MSYS difficult to understand, but I guess you could be doing something slightly different than me (setting an environment variable incorrectly, using paths with blanks in the name, or whatever). I plan to get back to you early in the next release cycle to figure out this mystery. Alan __________________________ Alan W.
