I am familiar with the basic usage of nm, but mostly to inspect if a particular
symbol is or is not present in the library - and my experience with C++ in
combination with nm is really minimal (the name mangling is daunting! Glad to
see nm can undo that).
This visibility issue is one of obscurer aspects of today's programming
experience. It is akin to the import/export circus in Windows DLLs. Always good
for some puzzles.
Anyway, I will wait for your further results in this.
