Hi Leo:

I will need some help to demonstrate the impact of the above US-ASCII to
emacs.

I have a directory where I have unpacked plplot-info-5.9.6.tar.gz.

The command

info plplotdoc.info

seems to work so all seems well there at that low level.

What are the info install commands and emacs commands required to (a) use
those unpacked info files from emacs, and (b) demonstrate the impact of
US-ASCII?
