I have been trying to download pages from groups.google.com without success. below is a mail I sent to the users list earlier today. ++++++++++++ Just wondering if anyone has had success with this? I have tried several groups excert from home.html <H2> YYY </H2> <A HREF="http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&group=comp.fonts"; STAYONHOST NOIMAGES MAXDEPTH=3> comp on Google </A><P> The initial screen loads fine, but as soon as I try to view any articles I get a message about external link not downloaded.... URL:/groups?hl=en the actual article URL is http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&ic=1&th=61d1d04d36f7920d so it would seem the parser doesn't like &'s.... Am I right in this or have I just missed something glaring? thanks rafe +++++++++++++++ received a reply Hi, I've had a similar problem. The parser doesn't like the '&' and it needn't since officially '&' should not be part of html code, it should be escaped. Unfortunately, a lot of sites do not escape this, so it would probably be best to change the parser...
