Your are using Windows!? ;-)

A short description Because the Questions later:

Creation of a Database (Click the "Add a new Database"):

-Create a Subdirectory "<HANDLE>.DB" in the Plucker dir.
-Copy the files from the "DB_Template" dir in that dir
-Create a new Group in the Plucker Startmenu Group with the Name
    "DB '<HANDLE>'"
    In this group are:
     - Edit: Call the editor with the Home.html
     - Hotsync: Call RunSync.exe <HANDLE>
     - Setup: Call the editor with the plucker.ini
     - view: Call the Browser with the home.html

Delete of a Database (Click the "Delete a Database"):
     - Delete the Sudirectory "<HANDLE>.DB" from the Plucker Directory
       (and all the contents).
     - Delete the "DB '<HANDLE>'" Subgroup in the Plucker Startmenu
       Group.

Thanks, i'm always interested in getting this spelling errors
reported. Will be fixed in the next release.

David> 2. Are we supporting 16bpp yet in Windows? I tried to sync content @
David> 16bpp, and it worked, however, no 16bpp images show up on the

David> Mike?

The Windows tools currently do not support 16bpp. Its easy to change
but first i wan't rewrite the Windows imageParser.

David> 3. I would suggest we default the 'home_url' entry to be:

David> ; Insert your URL between the quotes below

David> home_url " "

David> for those people who have '&' and '|' in their URIs.

How handle the Parser such Quoted URLs? Is this Supported in this way?

Well, the idea was that the user edit the files in the DB_Template so
all new created DBs will have this Defaults.

David> (you can also query Hotsync manager to get a list of usernames, and
David> prompt the user to pick one from the list)

Yes, currently the install builder i use do not provide all the
features to do this. But the next release of the install builder will
include all the features, then i could ask the user at install time
for a user name (by showing a list of all installed users) and can
preset the preferred username in the plucker.ini

David> 5. I created a database with the standard "Add Database" tool, then

You have deleted the Startmenu entry group not the folder with the
files. You must use the "Delete a Databse" tool for this.

The Tool simple check all subdirectorys in the format *.DB containing
a plucker.ini.

No that's no so easy.

David> on the "Delete" button, it asks me if I really want to delete the

David> should return me to the list, not throw an error.

Hmm, you are right i change this in the next release, thanks

Well, if you have an Running Windows with a 5050 connected you are the
right one to answer a few questions :-) (It is not possible to emulate
this with POSE)

I wan't add the feature to prepare a DB to install to a memory card. I
know the Viewer does not handle using DB with VFS, but i guess this
will be come.

Ok, how handle the PalmOS the memory cards? If you call the install
toll you get the "Change Destination..." Button were you can select
that the Files (Database) are installed on a memory card, right?

What names are shown there beside "Handheld"? Are the Names also shown
there related to the Slots in the Handheld or to the Memory Cards
inside the Slots?

Could you me please send the file "Sync.ini" form your userdir (if
there are no secret data)?

And can you test the new tool "Conduit.exe" if this are readdy to
install on the MemoryCards?

cu,
 Dirk
