In the c++ conduit I'm developing I've changed the home url to allow any
valid url for home. I think the only place that needed to be changed was
in the simplemapper. Instead of forcing id 2 to be plucker:/home.html,
I've passed in a pointer to the configfile and pulled the home_url from it.
This allows me to set the home url to begin plucking from to a web site
maintained by others. Any thoughts on this?
On a related note, as a result of the above, I've created an internal web
site where users can log in and select preselected content "channels".
These have been set up ahead of time by an admin. Is there any interest in
setting up the plucker site to allow selection of pre-setup content
channels and having users use the site to set up their own custom
plucker:/home.html page? On my site, the starting plucker page is
dynamically generated based on the user selections at the time the page is
requested. I've done mine in java server pages, but it wouldn't take that
much time to set up in any lang.
Thoughts?
