A major sticking point for Mac OS X users is the fact that Plucker has to be run from the command line. I suspect that nothing less than a fully-blown Aqua GUI would satisfy them, and that is a non-trivial thing to write. Mac users are finicky. Also keep in mind that neither Python nor NetPBM (or alternatives) come preinstalled on Mac OS X. These can be installed using Fink, a package manager for Mac OS X - http://fink.sourceforge.net/ - maybe someone could come up with the scripts to allow Plucker to be installed via Fink. -Terence
