Hi Ken,

Thanks for your letter. I'll give you some status
notes on some of these:

> Showcase", and have an "Expert" button to add your
> own URL.

On the TODO is a menu item of add from showcase. I
doubt there will be a toolbbar button, though, but
perhaps.

> * Expand "Plucker Showcase"

I agree, but there is either going to have to be
someone to keep it up to date or the content providers
are going to have to keep their addresses a bit more
constant. Nearly 30% of the current ones in the
showcase changed their address in the past year, and
these were selected as the more 'stable' ones. I don't
want dead lines in the samples, because then people
will write and say why doesn't it work.

> Showcase" by pulling a page

This used to be in, actually (part of the reason for
the blank area on the Preferences dialog > Showcase
tab). The downloading wasn't very robust
cross-platform. When there is a python script to
download a file, this might go back in. OTOH, the
software keeps updating too anyways, and with it the
showcase.

When you choose an entry from the showase in the
configure channel dialog, it already updates all the
entries, or name/url only depending on your
preferences that you took on Prefs > Showcase. It
doesn't do this in the wizard, but that one will be
removed anyways.

Import/export will be added. There is a Import/Export
menu ready. Open formats will be supported. For closed
formats this is unlikely.

> * Schedule "Commandline update due channels" in OS

I don't think this will be part of the final product.
I don't plan on touching these type of user settings.
Perhaps a better blow-by-blow instructions of how to
do it though in the help.
