I agree with you, except in one point.
DRM is about restricting freedom the same way non free software do. It
should not exist in free software.
DRM should not exist in any software, or any hardware. DRM is theft!
There may be some content you have a strong craving for that is digitally
protected. At that point you have to set your ideals against each-other...
That would happen if DRM is imposed on us--which is why we should fight
hard against it now. If we win that fight, we will never find this
choice imposed on us.
