Okay, I've built a setup for installing my Java conduit that feeds off the
Plucker Desktop. You can get it at
http://bill.nalens.com/programs/Setup-PluckerJCond.exe (857k). I'm looking
for someone to test this alpha release. When you run the install it will
setup a conduit based on the Plkr id. It will also copy two files to your
Palm directory (this is where you should install too), RegistryHelper.dll
and PluckerJCond.jar. If you have a version of Hotsync that doesn't
support Java conduits, you'll have to install JSyncInstaller.exe found in
the Palm CDK 4.03 download (It's a 9.5 meg file, else I would have included
it).

When you press the hotsync button, it should sync *all* of the channels set
up in the Desktop. I'm not sure what will happen if there are too many or
they take too long to plucker. Right now it's using the JPluck Java code,
which doesn't support all the options available for the regular parser.
Perhaps it would be best to backup the plucker.ini file and use a scaled
down test site for now (however, I'm not writing anything to plucker.ini
right now).

What's left to do:
Thread the parser to allow yielding cycles to the hotsync manager
Respect the channel options for when to sync (I have the info from
Robert)
Write back to plucker.ini the time/date stamp for when the channel
was plucked
      Allow for uninstalling the conduit
      Add a progress bar
Hook up to Bill's Jython code

Looking for any comments.

PS. This will only work on Windows right now.

Bill
