Great.  I can live with it till the next release.

Yup.  Have this on the to do list.  Users can also turn off the conduit the regular way with the "Do Nothing" option in the hotsync dialog.

I will use the plucker.ini file.  If the option doesn't exist, I'll create it during the sync from the registry values for the path to plucker.

This option would probably be best since the user could override it doing just one person's channels by leaving off the --username-filter.  So if I read you right I'd do:
-get command line from ini file
-write username_filter to be the current sync'ing user
-call command line
-wait till done

I think you are using Innosetup for the installer right?  I plan to use it for this.  I can send you the setup script if you want to incorporate it into your installer.  I'll probably have this stuff ready by Monday.
