Plucker stores references to vfs volumes by volume label. This is what
PalmOS docs say one should do. However, this causes Plucker to fail in the
case of vfs volumes where VFSVolumeGetLabel() returns an error, which
happened to me in ClieSim 5.2 on its simulated memory stick where no volume
label had been created. I am also suspecting this may be at the heart of
bug 806, though I have to hear back from the reporter. I fixed this by
creating a fake volume label out of the volume reference number for vfs
volumes that have no volume label.

But now I am worried about another possibility. It's easy to imagine a user
who gives the same volume name to two different volumes on his system (this
only applies to dual-card situations, like MS and CF on Sony NX units, or
like someone having a ramdisk for some reason and a hard slot). E.g., he
uses his first name to name both volumes: "Alex's flashcard". Then Plucker
would be faced with two volumes by the same name, I assume, and would fail
to find documents on the second volume. One could scan for duplicates and
fix this via the wrapper that creates a fake volume label for volumes that
have no volume label. Or one could just document that one is not allowed to
have multiple volumes with the same name.

What do people think?
