> I've coveted Vade Mecum's highlighting and annotation ... Vade Mecum is GPL, and I imagine he would be pleased if his improvements were rolled back into plucker. See files named "highlights*" and "notes*" at http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/vade-mecum/vade-mecum/ >From a quick look, the annotations are stored in a (separate) metadocument, and just list the record+offset that they refer to. If you lose the metadocument (or use an older viewer), you will lose the annotations, but the document itself will be fine. How does Vade Mecum make annotions in the first place? Can you do this on the PDA, does it need to happen before hotsync? Viewer changes alone would let you use current Vade-Mecum annotated documents. If they're made, I am willing update the python parser to produce annotation files, but ... I think it might make more sense to allow inter-document links in general (possibly with this as a special case), and to allow at least minor editing in general if we put the functionality in for notes. (If we don't put it in, then I suppose you can already edit the source on your desktop.) -jJ _______________________________________________ plucker-dev mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.rubberchicken.org/mailman/listinfo/plucker-dev
