More than three years ago Bill Janssen suggested the addition of
"guided tours" to the Plucker format, i.e. a way to follow a
specific path in a document by just pressing "page down" at the
end of the page (and probably also be able to "go back" by pressing
"page up" at the top of the page). It would be possible to select any
one of the various available tours for a document, e.g. a "normal"
e-book could have a tour that takes you to the next page in the book,
while a technical book could have beginner, intermediate, and advanced
tours.

Most of the code to implement something like this in the viewer was
written already in 2001. The major problem back then (and today) is
how to compose tours? Is it a feasible feature? I think it could be
a useful feature even in its simplest form, though, e.g. when you
have a toc to start with but each individual page doesn't include a
link to the next/previous page then this feature would still allow
you to go to the next/previous page without first going back to the
toc...

A tour could be included in the actual Plucker document, made available
as a separate database or both.
