I downloaded Plucker a couple of weeks ago, and was using Python 2.1 -
generally very impressed!
However, I was unable to "pluck" a website on my hard disc which had links
like those in the title,
<A HREF="file://C:\TEMP\INDEX.HTML">Links</A>
or
<A HREF="file://C:/TEMP/INDEX.HTML">Links</A>
As you have probably guessed from the C:\ in there, this is on a windows
machine (Win 2000 in fact).
The choice of syntax above was simply because it was the first "abosulte
local path" that would work on Internet Explorer and Mozilla.
Bearing in mind the unix roots of the URL parser, this particular variation
of syntax may not have been catered for. I had just started "fiddling" with
the Python scripts (without success) when my machine died. I am currently
waiting for a new hard disc...
Once my machine is back together, I will have to rebuild the local webpages
again, so I could just pick a slightly different syntax which Plucker, IE
and Mozilla can cope with, but it would be nice to have this fixed.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this project!
Peter.
P.S. Could the Palm browser support the graphetti left & right strokes as
"back" and "forward"? And while we are at it, up and down strokes could be
"scroll up" and "scroll down". Its only a minor improvement, but its a
feature of AvantGo that I found quite usefull.
