Hmmm. I had to try it in IE 5.5, because Mozilla (my preferred browser),
goes through a local proxy that kills off popup windows. (Too much of a
pain to figure out how to tweak it just for Plucker's site - easier to just
use IE instead.)

I pointed it at a URL with a PDF, it thought a bit, then offered to DL
pdf2pl to me. I did so, but Pilot Install complained that the file wasn't a
recognized format, and didn't sync it.

Is this an issue with Pilot Install, the conversion, or the source PDF?
(I've used Pilot Install to sync other documents create by Plucker's
conversion routines to the Visor, so I doubt it's a Pilot Install problem.)

Two questions:

1) Is the programming that does this something that might eventually be
packaged for installation on a local PC, or does it require something like a
liscensed copy of full Acrobat to do what it does?

2) Is there any chance of having it keep the existing file name, and simple
change the extension to pl? If I have more than one PDF to convert this
way, renaming can get tedious.

Thanks for what looks to be a very useful feature.
