So my question is, what do people think of a channel links repository to fill the gap while my.plkr.org is germinating? Basically, I'm thinking of a two-tier-topic links database with descriptions, rating system, user submissions and (perhaps) eventually XML or HTML output that can be used to create a pluckable index page. (I also have a client-side project in mind too that can use the XML, but that's much further down the road.)
I have access to a decent Zope/Python server, a bunch of decent code already written, and an employer that's willing to sponsor the site. No promises, my time is limited (I do double-time as a web developer and teacher), but I think I might be able to pull this off, if people think it's a good idea. What say you? all my best, dj
